A Hana Kate funny that I had to get down right away. This was all relayed to me by Daniel:
Tonight, Daniel was helping Hana Kate get her P.J.’s on after her bath. She suddenly turned to him and said, “If someone says they like your clothes, you tell them ‘thank you.'”
Unaware that earlier today I had talked to her about saying thank you for compliments, Daniel said, “Wow! That’s right! Who told you that?”
Hana Kate, without hesitation, without indication she was thinking about an answer, and without any “umms….” immediately responded, “God!”
Apparently I also need to talk to her about special revelation. 🙂
We had also been working on her catechisms earlier in the day, and I’m wondering if the continual “Who…?” “God!” might have left her a little confused? Or I somehow made her think that the Bible specifically said to say thank you for a compliment?.
