Happy Independence Day!

July 4, 2008

Happy Independence Day from our family to yours!

Daniel and his brother Andrew are working removing this:

To replace it with this:

Check out those solar powered lights–God provided those and 16 more for free from CVS (as well as the planters)! What a blessing! It’s something we’d wanted, but didn’t think we could have.

We’re having a traditional 4th of July meal this evening…and doing something I’ve never done–we have a few tiny little fireworks!!  Our neighborhood considers the 4th a week-long  fireworks celebration, so we are joining in this time!

Hope you had a fun 4th and that the loud noises didn’t scare Hana Kate too much.

Yes, I just read about noises and young children. The article even recommended avoiding the “talking” toys, because they may be louder than baby’s tender ears can handle.

Wow! That sidewalk is going to look so nice with your lights up and down it! 🙂 I can’t wait to see the finished product! Speaking of. . . . we should have you guys over for dinner sometime that way we can properly thank Daniel for coming over to help us paint our door – what’s a good day of the week for you? 🙂
