Just thought I’d give a heads up that Restaurant.com gift certificates are 70% off right now (through April 30). That means you can get a $25 gift certificate for $3, if you use the code: GOURMET
If you are unfamiliar with Restaurant.com, it is a website that allows you to purchase gift certificates to local restaurants for at least 60% off. If you are purchasing a gift certificate for the amount of $25.00 (and only paying $3 with the current deal), there is usually a requirement that you spend at least $35.00 on the meal. In other words, you’d have to pay at least $10 + $3 (or other gift certificate amount) for $35.00 worth of food. Not bad for a restaurant!
Here’s how to do it:
1. Go to Restaurant.com.
2. Find a restaurant.
3. Purchase certificate. (Use the code: GOURMET right now.)
4. Print out certificate and take to restaurant.
Additional notes: Certificates are usually good for one year. They have a unique code the the restaurant calls in and enters to ensure that it is only used once. Gratuities may be higher when certificates are used (this will be included in the information when you order the certificate). At the beginning of each month, new restaurants are added with a limited number of certificates; but at the end of the month, there is usually some sort of percent off discount.
We’ve used this twice and also given it as part of gifts. We’ve had no problems thus far..
