Shopping by the Pound

April 15, 2008

Thinking about sprucing up your spring wardrobe? Looking for inexpensive baby equipment? Before heading out to the mall or even a consignment shop, you might want to consider popping by a Goodwill Clearance center, where they sell “stuff” by the pound. Particularly if you’re looking for clothes and other light objects. At the Greenville Goodwill Clearance Center, they sell merchandise for 99 cents per pound; books are 10 cents per pound.

Though I didn’t find the baby equipment I was looking for, I did find a baby bath rest, weighing in right around a pound. 🙂 So, check your area for a Goodwill Clearance Center!.

we have one about 2 miles from us! i was so thrilled when they opened!!! The clothes are great’s fun to rummage through their bins to find name brand clothes. I haven’t bought new retail clothes in ages now – yet I’m wearing “more expensive” name brands than I ever have in my life. 😉 …i also got my bread machine there for 2 bucks (they don’t do equiptment or frames by the pound..they just price them). I also found a baby bottle warmer and baby wipe warmer (one that retails for 20 bucks in babys r us) – both were in perfect condition and came with the original boxes! i think i paid less than $2 for them both..

I recently discovered the same thing. I went to Goodwill on the first Saturday of the month (50% off) and I got 6 garbage bags of name brand clothes for $102!!!!!!!
