Hana Kate sleeps peacefully while “taking refuge” at her grandparents house with Mommy. Our sewage system tried to impersonate a water fountain, and in turn our one and only bathroom tried to impersonate a lake. Mommy and Hana Kate decided to go on a little getaway while Daddy, Grandpa, and Uncle Joshua corrected the impersonators (all is well now!). I will spare you the agony of pictures of the event.
Without trying to sound trite, it was a reminder to us all of God’s sovereignty even over our sewage system–we certainly wouldn’t have picked this timing, but we can find rest in the fact that God orchestrated the events of the day for His own glory. When we lean upon this truth, we can rest (and even smile) peacefully while the storms of life rage around us.
