Hana Kate is one week old (actually 8 days now–her Mommy is a little behind 🙂 )!!
Hana Kate is opening her eyes, hiccuping, and smiling in her sleep a lot more. She definitely inherited her Grandpa’s strong muscles, as she loves to lift her head up to look around and can move pretty far by pushing with her legs. (She even rolled over once, but that will probably end soon–she’s becoming quite the chubby little girl.)
Every day we are reminded of the tremendous responsibility that we have to raise her in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We are guaranteed nothing, apart from the promises of God. We pray that she will come to know Jesus very early in her life and that she will be a faithful godly servant of Christ in the years to come.
Our little girl has already had the privilege of hearing more of the Word of God than most people in Madagascar. (She actually stayed awake for 3 chapters! I have a video of her Daddy reading to her that maybe I’ll post when I figure out how.) How blessed are we, who deserve God’s wrath, to instead be recipients of His vast mercies!
