Hana is the Malagasy spelling of Biblical Hannah. We chose the name Hana for our first daughter because of God’s answer to our prayer, as Hana prayed, “for this child I prayed…”
Katherine is the name of Daniel’s late grandmother, who went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2007. We decided to add this to her name a few weeks after Grandma’s death.
Hesed is a transliteration of the Hebrew word for “mercy” and “lovingkindness,” though its full meaning encompasses much more. Our daughter is a testimony to one of the many examples and lessons on God’s mercy to us that we have seen magnified to us in this past year.
