“You Wove Me in My Mother’s Womb…”

July 19, 2007
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Psalm 139:13-15

Today was a very special day for our family! We were thrilled to see our baby for the first time, and are amazed at how God has already formed our child. The baby was a little ahead in its development, but is still “due” to arrive in the last half of January. We decided that going for an ultrasound is a great idea for a fun date, and hope to do it again sometime. If we could, we’d go back again tomorrow just to watch our child!

Our baby seems so big already, which is so strange since Keren is still rather small! The heartbeat was 167 bpm (it was 160 when we first heard the heartbeat)–maybe “he” was a little nervous? He would not turn around at ALL, but was amazingly active. Neither of us realized that the baby was so active at this point! (or maybe I’ve just been eating too many sugary gummy worms?) These pictures were taken at exactly 13 weeks/14 weeks (depending on which calendar you use) according the technician’s estimation. Anyway, we are so thrilled that the Lord has chosen to bless us in the miraculous way! I am having a bit of trouble uploading individual pictures, but here is a slideshow of our favorite shots (click on images to see them in Picasa):

Our friends, Jay, Ashlyn, and J.J. (3 days old!) brought us a special gift to celebrate our ultrasound!
A special ultrasound picture frame! We were so touched by this gift and their thoughtfulness, as their own son was just born this Monday!
